After a simple breakfast, we had to make ourselves!! we were on the road again on route 6 towards Nelson. Some very twisty roads today. Great views again of the coast, rivers, high sided valleys covered in trees and wide open spaces. And then pine trees as far as the eye could see. We think they are the American trees that they grow here for the timber as they grow twice as fast as back in the States. Lots of lorries transporting the logs. Arrived in Nelson early afternoon as we didn't really stop on the way except for lunch in Murchison where we were swapped by a bus load of girls on some sporting trip. You sit down for lunch and then herds of people all wearing Ug boots and jogging bottoms get in the way.... amazing how trends are the world over!
Thought it was just the mob from Brookes that wore that!
Nelson town centre isn't as big as I thought it would be and it looks like tomorrow will be a mission to find interesting craft/art objects. Nice lamb and a couple of glasses of Merlot for dinner... I am now off for port as it is complimentary in our room :)
B&B is very nice again and another lovely old building.
