Today we decided to have a quieter day - first a walk around lake Matheson and then a visit to the terminal face of Fox Glacier....the pics show how imposing it is.  Off to see Pancake Rocks tomorrow...........another hard day of scenery  ; )

Cloud free experience
Yer both dead lucky to see so much of Fox Glacier. When we went there in 2004 the cloud was right down to street level and our heli-hike to the glacier was cancelled :-(
Good to know what it supposed to look like :-)!
