Left the lovely views of Wanaka today and headed for Fox Glacier via Route 6 (the only road route).  The scerny remained great and subtly changed from snowy moutains to steep valleys covered in trees followed by wild and rugged coastal areas.  Visited a place called Blue Pools on the way, with lovely, clear blue water with rainbow trout and popped into a couple of look out points over the coast (chuffing sandflies!!).  Also had a quick look of Fox Glacier before looking for our next B&B.  Perhaps Max will now let me rest after all its my birthday!!!  Luckly the towns power is now back on and I can have a cuppa (was out for 5 hours with only a few generators around).
