Today started with breakfast at the Lake Lodge, which is close by our cabin. It was a cafeteria and I liked all the choices. I had biscuits with gravy, for the first time and they were really good. There was too much so I shared with Mom and Dad. We drove from there to the Grand Teton National Park, which is about an hour away from Yellowstone. The Teton Mountains are big and really pretty. They kind of spring up, without any small hills. We saw snow on top, which is actually glaciers. My favorite part of the Tetons was the boat ride we took across Jenny Lake. We hiked a little up a steep path to see the Hidden Falls, which were pretty well hidden because we never actually reached the end of the trail! Part of the way up there was a shady spot by the falls, and we had our picnic there.

The last thing we did in the Tetons was visit the Visitors Center in Jackson Hole, WY and I finally found a penny machine to add a penny to my collection. This makes 5.

This was our first night camping in Yellowstone. We stayed at the Madison campground, which was ok. The best part was the ranger talk about wolves. This is a big topic at Yellowstone because they are reintroducing the wolves to Yellowstone after many years of wolves not living there. The woman ranger who gave the talk was funny and interesting. Dogs kill more people each year than wolves, which is kind of scary when you think of dogs being man's best friend. The talk ended around 10:30pm and it was so dark. We forgot our flashlights and it was scary walking back to the tent.

So far I like these pictures of the Tetons the best. The water/mountain pictures take your breath away. Sounds like you are having some great food, too. I tried to post some comments from work yesterday but my spam filter blocked it. So I will check in the mornings before I head out the door.

The mountains are beautiful and Jackson Hole is stunning. We are going to Michigan for the next four days, so we won't be able to post until we get back. Have a great time!!

Beautiful serene pictures - wish I could crawl into my computer (I did stop reading for a snack LOL).
