Where I stayed
Four Seasons Caravan Park, Dunsborough
What I did
From Australind I travelled south to Bunbury where I did the usual tour of the town, took the dogs for a quick run on the beach and then drove up to the lookout where I met a couple from N.S.W. and we started chatting. I told them of a few unfortunate 'incidents' that plagued me along the way and added that I hadn't had any problems since Broome and said good bye.
I drove on and finally found a lovely spot near the beach and pulled into a car park and had lunch. Then it was time to ring the parks and find out which one had vacancies and, at a reasonable price.
Dunsborough was to be my destination for the day.
Driving to my destination meant I had to contend with the roaring trucks and speeding traffic, not my cup of tea, so as soon as possible I found the first exit off and joined a nice quiet country road that led me to Wonnerup House.
AND this is where the most exciting thing happened...
An image of a woman's head appeared on the wall in the wash room as I was taking a photo. The disappointing thing is I can see it in my camera, but it is invisible on the screen, the only thing is a white cloud on the wall. Then it was across to Wonnerup House and more photos and this time a distinct white haze can be seen in the bathroom in another photo. So not too sure if that is anything or not. Eery but fascinating.
Got to the park around 4ish, booked in for the night, got back in the van and VOILA! Wouldn't start.
No matter how hard I tried there was no starting it. Went back into the office embarrassed that the van had 'died' in her driveway. Frantic calls to RAC and finally found someone who could come out for $105 just to look at it. I don't have a credit card so said I would have to find an ATM and obviously get the money
WOW! I guess if you're in a car it would seem that close...it was 2 frigging kms away. I was absolutely stuffed when I got back. The RAC guy had already been working on the van and had come to the conclusion that the starter motor was stuffed too. So here I am for the next 3 - 4 days or until such time as a new one can be put in.
Seeing a ghost was obviously a bad omen!!!!
p.s. Bloody mouse is still alive, grrrrrrrrrr
