Gave Denham a miss as it's mostly National Heritage, so no dogs!

Didn't quite know where to stop for the night so I just kept driving and hoping someting would come along. And sure enough about 50kms north of Kalbarri I found this lovely spot near a river...along with about 50 other vans. As it's first in best place I managed one not too far away from the loos and settled in for the night.
I watched, Man on a ledge...glad I got it for free on my external hard drive...then I had a good laugh watching Due Date, hilarious movie.

Next morning it was direction Kalbarri via the National Park, and as I had no intentions of stopping couldn't see the harm in having dogs with me.
Very scenic route with wild flowers adorning the sides of the road and something as far as the eye could see. Just before Kalbarri I took the scenic route up to Meanarra Lookout. Wow! Just spectacular. Then it was on down into Kalbarri for a little sightseeing, not much as it is mostly ocean, cliffs and another Chinaman's Rock and Chinaman's Beach...(double the worry for me). lol
From the town centre it was a magical drive along the coast, with stops to take photos and just taking in the beautiful sound of waves crashing against the cliff rocks and sea walls, sheer music to my ears.
Then it was a detour to Port Gregory and the Pink Lake, not sure if you will be able to appreciate the colour from my photo, but it really is pink. I had planned to stay there, but once again the site was not as idyllic as hoped and it was nowhere near the foreshore. So quick about face and off to Horrocks another 30mins drive to another park.
I'm just not lucky chosing caravan parks, this one claimed to have good tv, internet and phone connection as I wanted to stay a few days to relax and let the dogs run on the beach. Not to be, none of the above worked. By this time it was too late to even bother about moving on so it cost me $38...for a shower, 'cause that's all I got from that place.
Naturally I left this morning and drove on to Geraldton where I stocked up on a few supplies, took the scenic tour of the city, then back on the main road to what I thought was going to be my resting place for a few days. Alas, as I said just not lucky chosing caravan sites. This one showed the ocean and I naturally thought it was close by...3kms. The owner said he was sorry and suggested a place about 1km down the road that has a wc and nothing else, ok thanks. So, here I am now nestled at the end of a dirt road with the ocean as my back door, the dogs have had a run and exhausted, the fridge is fired up and all I have do now is enjoy it.

p.s.Photos were taken over the last few days.
