Where I stayed
Beautiful spot on top of a hill overlooking the ocean
one went well...missed a turn off at Redcliffe and ended up at Scarborough Point
where I parked in a cul-de sac and being quite a distance from busy
roads decided to let the dogs have a little wonder in the park...STUPID
thing to do...buggers made a break for it, joined at the shoulders like
siamese twins they sped off...to what I thought was their doom. After a
about a 3ins chase I finally persuaded them to stop running (maybe the piercing sound of my voice had something to do with it) lol.
So it was back in the van and off again to the next destination.
I think the dogs had more pee stops than racing drivers have pit stops...during the day.
Arrived at Coolum Beach at around 5.30pm only to be told that they
don't allow two dogs...oops. I drove around for awhile and found a spot
on top of a hill with toilet facilities and a spectacular view and
that's where we camped for the night.
Can't get fridge to work so the man at
B.W.S. gave me some ice, now I have my own little ice bucket. Very handy
As you will see from the
photos, the sunrise was also spectacular, but unfortunately the sun is
hiding shyly behind the clouds making it dull and grey, but not cold.
We are presently at Noosa Heads where I had my first "camp" breakfast and a short walk.
About to put the computer away for the day and head off...to...???
Bye for now.
