I feel useless sitting at home with nothing to do. When I was in Houston, I was always busy or at least distracted with my Taiwanese dramas or Sherrilyn Kenyon romance novels. However, doing nothing is good right now because I'm trying to heal up before I depart for Japan this Wednesday. The infected finger is not so icky anymore, and the hives are pretty much gone. All I have left to really worry about is the eczema, which has made doing things like typing this difficult. I feel like I have the chicken pox all over again.
Technically we've gotten our host family info for the trip to Tome City. Problem is that I forgot to mention that I'm allergic to dogs and cats, and my host family happened to have several (a couple dogs is fine; it's cats that I really have to watch out for). Hopefully they'll find a way to work things out, but I'm gonna feel bad if my host family gets screwed over because of me. I'll bring them gifts anyway.
Either later today or tomorrow, I'll put up some photos from Houston. One set is from lab and the other from the fireworks display at Hermann Park. I had never been so close to fireworks before. It was so loud that I could hear it from my room (Rice is across the street from Hermann Park). It was nice to just walk outside and see the pretty sight.
There are coyote pups in the backyard. My dad is trying to find a way to take care of them, but I say leave them alone. They're so cute!
