Yet another arbitrary date.  I can't find anything besides photos on this trip (the recap must've gotten lost when I deleted entries from my blog) so this is all based on memory.

We visited family and one of my dad's old friends. His kids, David and Grace, played cards with us all night.  It's amazing how you can still play with people even if there's a language barrier.  Maybe that's why it's easier for children to get along.  I saw what used to be the tallest building in the world, Taipei 101, for the first time.  It's a rather impressive structure with an awesome multi-story book store.

During this trip, I found myself getting more obsessed with anime and becoming a fan of Taiwanese artists.  My cousins were watching Naruto so I'd watch with them 23 - Taipei 101 day

.  It became a rountine because I'd also watch Prince of Tennis and Fullmetal Alchemist, which was the only anime series I saw that had a more mature rating than the others (kind of interesting considering that it doesn't have the nudity of other series and isn't so much more violent).  I also got into Full Moon wo Sagashite, which I promptly became obsessed with when I got home and found the translated manga. ^_^  As for TW-pop, I was watching K One and Huang YiDa on Wan Quan Yue Le, an entertainment show, and thought they were absolutely adorable.  F.I.R. was the group that caught my attention though.  They're like a Taiwanese Do As Infinity, and there's no other Taiwanese group like them.  Oh and of course there's Jay Chou, who's probably the most famous musical artist to come out of Taiwan.
