This Golden Week is becoming more tiring than I expected.  Mom came Thursday evening, and it's been interesting to say the least.  Friday was really stressful because I tried to send money home from the bank.  There's some complication with the bank address so I have to do it again. I also left my cell phone on the bus.  Luckily the bus driver retrieved it, and Michael W. came by early so we could swing by the station before karaoke.  Anna's parents and friend were also in town so they joined us for dinner.

Saturday, Mom and I met up with Yoshie, a girl our family hosted a couple years back.  Her parents took us to a soba restaurant.  The tempura soba we had was good but really salty.

Yesterday Mom and I went to Sendai.  Originally we were going to check out Aoba Castle, but after a morning of shopping, we decided we were too tired.  I took Mom to Forus, which she found interesting.  She's not too fond of the gothic and punk clothes, but she thinks Lolita is cute (but odd...which makes me think that she doesn't really think they're cute).  I'm too boyish to do Lolita though.  She really liked Gouk, a store/brand that combined traditional Japanese elements with Western styles.  I wound up getting a shirt with a kimono pattern and a matching bag.  The clerk remembered me. ^_^  I've decided that I want to look like her.  She has a gothic style, but since her clothes are Gouk, they've got the Eastern element, which makes it not so dark.  Her hair has bright red streaks in the front.  I want to dye my hair again.

Our trip to Ichinoseki started with a mere visit to Suzuki-san's house.  She wanted to take my mom somewhere so I suggested a shrine since we had planned on walking to the local one.  Suzuki-san and her daughter Nagi took us to one in Yokoyama, which is a part of Tsuyama (like how Sanuma is really part of Hasama).  My omikuji didn't have very good things to say.  I swear they always say that I have no luck in love.  Then we went to the river in Ichinoseki.  There was a ruckus involving Mom freaking Suzuki-san out.  It led to Suzuki-san talking to these three guys from Osaka.  The subject of my lack of a love life got brought up. -_-;;  I really wanted to say that I only have eyes for Alice Nine right now.  Anyway, we bought dango, which the place is famous for.  Then we went to the Sahara glass shop, where I got a cupid voodoo doll as a present (so typical of me to go to a glass shop and get something NOT made of glass).

On our way back, I got dropped off in Sanuma, where I met up with some of my friends and their friends.  Amy had organized a sushi dinner with her boyfriend, some Japanese friends, and the ALTs.  After eating, we went to the arcade in Loc City because Amy and her friends wanted to play the taiko game.  Since I didn't want to wait around, I played DDR.  I forgot how much of a workout that is so I think I'm going to play whenever we're around.
