This entry is therefore dedicated to all the members of the Gundus club who were impressed by my insertion into their circle but who will never be able to imagine what it meant for me to go with them and feel part of this big family - terima kasih abangs!
First things first...
Who are these people I went camping with: people from the MAS office either MAS staff or suppliers of MAS...
How many of us: 12 therefore intially 3 cars and a guitar
Where: off road south of KL which explains why we are using 4x4 but first we went to a wedding in Johor Baru (JB)
Why: just for the sack of going there and chilling in the jungle... actually mainly to eat in the jungle!
What happened during this trip: nothing special really... just a few problems on the way with the cars but once there it was almost smooth!!
3. On the way one of the car started having problems but we stopped at a garage and apparently got it fixed...
4. Just before we left the wedding we learnt that the bridge to the place where we wanted to go no longer existed, taken by the floods... By then it's around 15h
5. Back up plan: go somewhere else!
We are stuck on the motorway: 2 cars together and 1 further up at a crappy rest area with nothing but a petrol station!... we waited there quite a while. The time is now 17h
After all of that what else could we do in the jungle but chill and try to forget how we are going to get out of this place!!!
It was great! Cooking food, lot of food, eating, sleeping, chilling, chatting... relaxing... chatting once in a while putting the option "Menu >> File >> Tools >> Language>> Subtitles >> English >> ON" so that I couuld understand a bit more. Overall, it was just brillant to be there. Thanks August for teaching me early on in the trip how to eat properly with my fingers, it was pretty useful!!!
There was a river as well right by the camp so swimming was one of our luxuries!!
Obviously it would have been a bit too easy if nothing else happenned so we had a storm on last night and obviously it was the night we had planned to do a BBQ! After fighing with the camp canopy a little bit, getting somehow a bit wet and digging a trench for the water to escape we managed to carry on as if nothing happened! We had our BBQ and the very much awaited one and only French dishe of the trip: Ratatouille!!! Thanks to Alfie for prentending that he likes vegetables and singing about it for the trip!
The next day it was time to go home... The way home was less eventful as the way there as we didn't get stuck for one hour but still!! We had to stop a few times!!
And as I said to the Gundus club if nothing happens you dont remember things so it's better too much than not enough!!!!
Thank you again for this Malay jungle experience!!!
