Uruguay is ridiculously expensive so to not take advantage of the free breakfast is an outrage. It is only toast with dulce de leche with cereal, but loading up here means less money spent during the day. After breakfast we went to inquire about hiring a car to road trip the coast of Uruguay as a car split 5 ways seemed fun and cheap. The car rental place was a pretty good hike away so in the mean time we got to see lots of Montevideo. We walked from our hostel all the way to the mall/ bus station and once there we realized we were merely 5 blocks away from the stadium where the first World Cup ever was held. After a quick stop at the mall we made our way to the stadium. Approaching the stadium we were greeted by vendors selling various One Direction photos, weird.Apparently these pooftas are playing a concert here in a few days. Way to ruin a stadiumWe briefly checked out the museum but i wanted to see the field so we went outside. After goofing around a bit in the seats, luke and I decided to go and do some quick acrobats so we jumped the moat (yes there was a moat surrounding the the pitch) I managed to squeezed out one quick backflip under pressure and scurried off the field. One of the men assembling the stage for One Direction had a serious issue with us breaking the rules and was furiously walking over to us. He was pretty angry and speaking very fast all I really knew is we had just been kicked us out, which was fine seeing as we were leaving anyway. On the way out we took a quick scan through the upstairs level of the museo del futbol. We checked out a few trophies, amongst which, was the trophy from the first world cup in 1930, played at this very stadium, which Uruguay happened to win. We parted ways for a bit jenny, jez and joel went back to the hostel to get dinner started and I kicked around with Luke who was looking for a new camera. On our walk home we stumbled upon 2 guys and a girl who were slacklining in a park. We introduced ourselves and had a little play around with them for half an hour. Luke didnt have any luck with his camera and not much longer after we arrived back at the hostel, there was a big stir-fry ready to go. A few 2 litre bottles of wine were consumed along with some more stuff. The evening was really fun, we ate a 2 litre tub of icecream in 18 minutes 56 seconds. Which in hindsight wasn't very fast between 5 people. We laughed a lot and had a genious thought to turn one of the rooms into a mattress fort, where i ended up sleeping
