Well, everything must come to and end.   Munich was to be my last European stop before leaving to head off to Australia.  I decided to head to Australia on a last minute change of plans.  Previously I thought I would have been able to leave Europe for a few weeks, by heading to Morocco, Tunisia or Libya, somewhere close enough, but easy enough to come back.    But just after some last minute research, I found out that I had to get out of Europe for at least 3 months.  3 months in...3 months out.  Those are the rules, and they suck.  I was borderline looking to find a German bride or something just to allow me to stay, but wasn't worth the paper work involved.
I messaged my good friends Marc and Andrea again who lived just outside of Munich to ask them if they might be able to help me out for a night when I arrived back in town.  They graciously agreed to help, and were more than amazing again in supporting me.  When I arrived in Munich after 7 hours of traveling down from the north, I was greeted by Andrea at the main station, who helped me as I had my monstrous backpack AND a bike.  We headed back towards their place in Olching.

Now before I had left to leave for Munich, I was under tremendous amounts of stress.  I was trying to figure out, how to get to Australia with all the gear I needed including my bike, where can I find a box big enough to fit my bike, will I get in trouble at German customs when leaving the country because I am over my 90 day on and so on.  But helping me ease some of this burden, Marc had run to a local bike shop the day I was arriving to get a box for my bike.  The morning that I had to leave to the airport, He even helped me dismantle the bike, clean it over as it had to be spotless for Australian customs officials to ensure that no contamination is being brought along with it.  I mean the tires even had to be wiped clean.  But with their help...It really made my life so much easier, and to be honest, I don't think I could have done it without them.

As if they hadn't done enough, Marc was still free to drive me to the airport, which was amazing.  I was wondering how to make my way through the city, people everywhere, with everything.  I bid farewell to Andrea, and assured her that I wouldn't bother them for at least 3.5 months, as that is the amount of time I would be on the other side of the world.   I can't thank Marc and Andrea enough for everything they have done for me, and it is always good times and good laughs when we are together.  I look forward to seeing them in the spring time.  Now, I finally bid farewell to Europe to go and wander around the other side of the planet.  Thank you to everyone for everything.  Love you all, but I will be back to cause more problems in the spring.   Take care y'all.
Now.....time for 28 hours of transit to reach my destination of Melbourne, via Beijing and Shanghai.  Tshuuse
