Hello faithful readers, sorry for the delay of an entry (not that many of you still read this thing anymore) but I was too lazy and the internet is way too expensive here on Bali (a whole dollar an hour!)
Anyway, since Jogja, I've had some colorful experiences in Malang, then onto Bromo Tennagar Park, which I basically hiked across, did the morning hike up Bromo (and watched the not too distant Semura volcano explode, and then bc it was too cold, decided not to stay another night and headed on to the wonderful, beautiful, tropical Bali. Well not really, this place is more like an Australian Cancun and right now Im at an internet shop in a place that looks like Kao San from Bangkok. Kuta Beach is crowded and the water has a fair amount of trash. This doesn't stop the surfing. Luckily, where Im staying, in Sanur, the beach is much nice, as it is dominated by the resorts. But I still get to use the same beach from my 8 dollar room. I rented a bicycle here. I found it is one of the best ways to get around, and also, I missed biking :( So I will stay here another two days (as I try and kick a cold) and then once I feel better, go on to Gigli (pronounced Gilly) for supposedly some of the best, affordable diving in Indo.
Sorry for the short entry, but I've been on the beach all day and feeling quite ravenous... time for some satay!

Merry almost Christmas! Sounds like you're still having fun - wish I was on a paradise beach but I'm writing my thesis - by the time you get home I should be a doctor!!
Be safe! Have fun! :)
