After buying a train set to go around the tree and dancing rather gay with Jake while decorating the tree I started to feel slightly christmasy. Christmas morning round shell and Jakes place was off to an early start and everyone was there. It was so strange to be christmas day and the sun shining and about 32 degrees. after waking we went down to manly beach and all jumped in the sea, it really woke us up and created a great xmas day atmosphere to get us going. We then went back and had breakfast in the garden overlooking the sea and Jake cooked a killer fryup and the alchol opened already LOL.

The whole day was brilliant, so good to have my good friends around me everyone happy. Jake cooked a roast dinner worthy of the gods, and I nearly fainted when tasting a yorkshire pudding after so long MMMmmm .The girls were completely wasted by 5pm singing loud and proud on the balcony. karen

. brilliant!

New years eve was just as amazing. we went to one of the spots to watch the famous Sydney fireworks. We got there extremely early at 1pm to get a good spot and start drinking !... it was great to see even more friends from home that had arrived, Carla, Lou Scot and Lyns and my friend Dan from travelling had come along, he lost the use of his legs in a few hours and it was funny to see him try and walk.

After new years we went to the wine region called hunter valley for a few days. I never really drunk wine or liked the taste of it, but i always wanted to. So after a wine tour and getting quite rat arsed on an all day wine tour I really got into it.  This was a great way to end my Australia visit with lots of friends from home together.

Thanks so much to Shell and Jake for having me for 2 months. There were tears saying goodbye to everyone, especially my surrogate sister Karen, we will all meet again soon !..... I was so sad to be leaving everyone, so sad.... but very excited about my last destination of my travels and seeing Fran again...on to the Philippines!!
