My first stop in South America was Quito. Quites setting is speechless, spread across an amazing Andean valley and flanked by volcanic peaks. I stayed in the new town which is cheaper but made my way to the old town which is stunning! It has narrow streets with indigneous women carrying stuff to sell, nice colonial streets, and cathedrals set on the hills in the distant. Also hell of a lot colder than central america i had to rush out and by a hooded top.

I had time to kill here so i did another 5 days spanish lessons which was great. My two ducth friends came to meet me at our hostal El Cafecito which had a great vibe, and the local staff who worked ther invited us all out a couple times to local clubs in the evenings. I met some great local people and ended up staying two weeks here before going to the magical Galapogas islands
