Observant readers will notice that, as like last year, I've taken a bit of time to update you with what we've been up to whilst we have been in Melbourne; I'm actually about 3 months behind, so like last year I'm just going to give you all the short version. It saves me writing pages and pages and you lot hours of reading!
· Spent NYE with Natalie Basslethwaite (Izzy from Neighbours), Spent the afternoon at her house, then off to her private party for the countdown - very showbiz! After her boyfriend, I was the 2nd person she kissed at 12! How happy was I!
· Got wet, 'Glastonbury style' at an all day outside party on New Years Day. Saw Fat boy Slim as well as other big name DJ's! Laughed at all the glamorous girls looking like drowned rats after the downpour
· Decided to carry on the party after the 'Rave' back at ours. Wasn't quite expecting 36 people to turn up though! Although we got to meet our very good-looking Kiwi Neighbours!
· did the honourable thing and cooked our new neighbours a Roast. Ended up cooking for 16 people - not bad for my first try!
* took another trip to Echuca to try Wakeboarding. This time the boat didn't break down and I actually stood up this time! Ached for days after though!
· took some more friends from Southend to the Australian Open Tennis. Not surprisingly Tim Henman lost again!
· Went and looked at the boats moored up in the Docklands that were competing in the Volvo Round the World Sailing Race. Probably won't interest most of you, but if you're into sailing it will!
· Worked for loads of company's doing freelance graphic design stuff before finally getting asked to work permanently at an Advertising Agency. Brilliant job, brilliant people and brilliant money, so get ready people, looks like I might be coming home in June for a the world cup after all! What this space!
· Caught up with a good friend some of you will know, Andy Young from Southend. He had just started his round the world trip, so stayed at our place for a couple of weeks.
· and of course how could I forget the Commonwealth Games... more about that next time!
