Holly, working for a massive insurance company, would regularly come home with special offers on shows, restaurants etc because of her work. One day though she came back with discount tickets for Dolphin Swimming; it was booked the next day!
Up early we drove for about an hour to the tip of Port Phillip Bay, to Portsea, a small village that ran the Dolphin tours. Swimming in these Seas is a bit like taking a dip in the Thames on Boxing Day, not recommended without a very thick wetsuit! We all laughed at Katie when she didn't fit in the adults so instead was given a kids

!Once out on the water, it wasn't too long before we saw a school of dolphins. Although happy to swim near the boat, they seemed to have an irrational fear of humans, as when we jumped in the sea, they would scarper! We tried a number of times, but each time they legged it, well hypothetically! Stupid dolphins!
To make amends the captain took us to a seal colony a bit further out to sea. Although not dolphins, they were a lot friendlier and were very happy to swim up and touch you. Dolphin's are sooo last year, Seals are the way forward!
Other things we got up to in February
· Visited the St. Kilda Festival. Held every year, the town is crammed full of stages for free live music. We took up residency at a posh outdoor bar, not to dissimilar to the bars in Ibiza. Before walking around and taking in some live music.
· Went to a "Rave" called Two Tribes, held at the same tennis courts as the Australian Open. Watched in awe as the Prodigy played a live set in the Rod Laver Arena. Not really my kind of music but an experience never less.
· Went along the great Ocean Road...but that's another story!
