Hello everyone!

I am now back in Haiti after a month long stay in the United States. I went back for a quick four day trip but ended up getting an ear infection which stopped me from flying for 3 weeks. I enjoyed seeing everyone at home and if I didn't see you, I am thinking about you nonetheless. The tension here in Haiti was slightly exaggerated in the media when I was at home and I have to say that I was skeptical about coming back. But now that I am back it seems that life goes on and the areas, which I visit and work in, are unaffected. I feel absolutely safe and I do not think that we are going anywhere even though I felt just Monday that we might be coming back home. That is a great relief to me that I can continue my service in Haiti and once again, I do feel safe so there is no reason to worry. I had meetings yesterday at the Peace Corps office and they were reassuring. Change is coming to Haiti but the political situation does not affect our jobs with the Peace Corps. Things are far from complete chaos and the areas that are unsafe have been subdued or at least contained. All the best everyone and I will write more as soon as I get the chance!
