I am currently in Hinch in the Central Plateau of Haiti on my way to Myesod (sp?). About 15 of us are meeting for a weekend of eating turkey, making pies and talking about our sites! David Holland, Jessica and Patrick came down to Mireabalais to met up with Sarah and I. We have been on tap taps most of the morning on our way to Hinch. I signed my lease for the next two years on my little house. It will cost me $35 US a month! Someone sabatoged my electricity and took it for their own so my landlord reconnected my electricity again this morning. Dave brought up some of the mail from my new mail account, thanks Mom, Stephanie, Katie Haeck! Lisa, I also got your package with the pictures of Mackenzie and the dolphin through Haitian mail but something ate most of the goodies! Mom, one of the packages you sent to the old address is in the post office in Port au Prince so I have to go pick it up, at least two made it!

! Also, with the new address, please do not put my name on the package. The system works by writing David G. Holland, G. being my middle name and that is how he identifies it as mine. The mail account gets supicous if you have more than one name on an envelope or package. Also, I have to pay $5 US dollars to get the packages out of the mail office so if you would be so kind as to include a $5 US bill in the package so I can give it to the mail account holder. It is hard to come by US bills in Haiti so I would greatly appreciate it! I have been having a great time at my site and things are looking good. I have to say that I am very excited to spend the weekend with some friends because I miss the people I met in training. I almost forgot! Last night I was on TV for about 30 minutes talking about the school, CAPOFORS, I work with. I actually spoke in Creole for about 3 of those 30 minutes. The segment was between an old episode of WWF and a kung fu movie! Please keep in touch everyone! And Fred, have a great one back in the states my friend! I hope you had a good few months in Haiti and all the best to Heidi!
