This morning we woke up, ate breakfast, and headed out to the park. We drove to the visitor's center to catch the bus to go into the canyon. We stopped to go to the trailhead of Observation Point. It is an eight-mile round trip trail where you get to see down the canyon of the park. It was a hard hike up, but it was well worth the views. We could see the entire canyon and Angel’s Landing. After the hike down we found a place to wash clothes. It was a good thing because we had not washed clothes in about 2 1/2 weeks. While we were washing clothes we ate a sandwich and ice cream at a store across the street. Before going back to the campsite, we went to the visitor’s center to pick up our backcountry permit for the Narrows. That night we packed as much as we could and gathered up gear for our hike the next day.
