This morning we woke up and packed. We decided to tour the space needle before we left, so we drove downtown and found a place to park. Before we went up in the needle we ate lunch at a pizza place. To get into the needle it was $20 and well worth it. The view was amazing! It was a 360° view from 520 feet in the sky. We spent a good hour up on the viewing deck. They had a coffee shop and snack center at the top along with an outside viewing deck. After the needle, Eric wanted to visit the map store. We walked to it and looked around for a while. Afterward, we drove to Eugene, Oregon and stayed in a hotel that night.
"After a couple minutes deciding with motel we would pick for the night, we decided on a Motel 6. This was certainly, the sketchiest hotel of the entire trip. When we finished bringing everything up to our room, I discovered that I could not log onto the internet with the password I was given. I went to the lobby to get a new password, and got in line behind a couple of people. After a moment, I started eavesdropping on the conversation that the man in the front of the line was having with the woman behind the counter. They were discussing him getting a room to stay in for free for the night since he was here to work on something. I then looked up and read the back of his shirt which had his business description as something to the effect of “homicide and suicide clean up." I came back to tell Matt and Eric about this and we went outside and saw him pulling out a mattress from a room wearing gloves and everything. We looked forward to moving on to Crater Lake the next day, to say the least.” –Evan
