The next day we headed off to see a tea plantation. Naturally we shunned the tuk-tuks and jumped on a public bus (or two) followed by some walking up steep hills. The factory was amazing and the guide was very knowledgeable in all things tea related. However due to some concern for trade secrets or the fact they were employing children no pics were allowed. However the guide allowed us one of the tea being dried - enjoy.
Our final day in Ella simply involved a wonderful climb through tea plantations to a hill named little Adams peak. After explaining to Nic that we properly didn't need climbing equipment and that flip flops would be fine, we headed off for a pleasant days climb. Nothing much more happened that day sorry .
In Ella we were treated to some great Sri Lankan food by our guest house, we had to place our order at about 4 in the afternoon, and weren't disappointed when dinner time came around. The table was filled with vege dishes to accompany our spicy rice. very yummy lots of different flavours, the pineapple chutney and the garlic curry were definite hits!
