Mumbai is relaxed. No cows in the streets. No poop. Nice people. The food is amazing. We are about to go and eat a buffet at the Taj which will be the most expensive thing we have done in India to date. Bring it on. Went to the Gandhi museum yesterday, really amazing. We should try to be a bit more like Gandhi.
Went out to a bar last night that is the seedy, dirty, prostitute and drug dealer filled place and it was great. We met a couple of guys from Iraq, and they were drunk - red in the face - and we had a good time talking with them. Just really neat to meet people from Baghdad. The first Iraqi's we had both met and we really had fun with them. All people reading this blog are invited to Amahds houe in Baghdad - in 1 or 2 years when the security is better.
One of their beefs with the war is that most of the Christians left for Europe, and since Muslims are not allowed to make or sell beer in Iraq, they had a bit of a dry spell there but things have picked up recently and they are back to having as couple of cold ones at night.
We ate corn on Chowpatty beach last night and yes, Collen danced a gig and went back for seconds. They put the peeled corn directly on charcoal, then brush it with lime/salt/masala mix - amazing. (we've also been eating watermelon, papaya, freshly squeezed O.J. and pomegranate juice everyday - follow up blog will be about food.)
