Today we walked and walked and walked, getting ready for the trek which starts tomorrow, its hard to explain how strange the altitude is, even though you dont feel exhausted, you just end up taking lots of breaths when just walking up a set of stairs, it does make you feel really unhealthy, so if would feel rally strange for a healthy person.

We took in most of the sights of Cusco, we went to Plaza de Armas which is the central square and they held a number of small shows there, with bands playing, flag twirling etc.  From here we walked in the to some local markets, it was mainly food so not we were looking for, we then then went souvenir shopping and i think we have found what we want will try and pick it up when we get back from the trek.

Cusco is a fairly nice place, gets a bit dirty outside of the tourist area, i think my pet peeve with the place is the guys trying to sell you paintings, there must be hundreds of these guys, just walking around showing you pictures and trying to get you to buy them, so frustrating.

Tomorrow at 5am we start the 4 day trek, this is going to be interesting.
