So today, as everybody was either feeling exhausted from pub crawling, or in my case, just feeling a bit sick, we decided to sleep in and take it kind of easy. When we got around to getting up and about this morning, we walked into center city and climbed to the top of Peter's Church, which afforded us a pretty nice view of the city. According to Jon and Jill it isn't nearly as picturesque as Brugge, but I'll have to take their word for it. Anyway, after that, and a bit more wandering around, Jill was feeling a bit under the weather (I really hope she doesn't have what I had), so she and Kelly went back and shopped for a bit while Jon and I headed out to Olympic Park to join a bunch of fellow American sports fans to watch our first World Cup 06 game. As I'm CERTAIN all of you know (since soccer is huge in the states), we got trounced 3-0 by Czech Republic. Dangit. But at least we had spirit. And Olympic Park was beautiful and it was just really cool being IN GERMANY watching the WORLD CUP live with a bunch of other fans. There were actually a lot of Americans there, decked out in flags and stuff. It was cool, I just wish we could scored at least a goal. Anyway, that was pretty much our day--it was just some much needed rest. Tomorrow we're going to Dachau, and then Berlin. More on that later.

Ciao for now,
Matt
