Wow, only four days in and I feel like I've been here for a month at least. Everything has happened so quickly and acknowledging my terrible short term memory, it is proving very difficult to remember details as they happened exactly.

We arrived in Bangkok airport having watched movies the whole way. The service on the flight was incredible and everything went so smoothly, the food was authentic Thai dishes and gave me the necessary wake up call to their love of spices, something I am learning to deal with now! Rob and i trekked from one terminal to the next lugging our bags the whole way and on exiting the airport I had expected to be met with fresh air to cool down in but instead 35* heat with a stupidly high humidity hit me. Welcome to Bangkok!!!

The Emerald Buddha and the Grand Palace were simply incredible.

We also visited the Temple of the Dawn, and several other famous places but there was very little information about them and so we dont really understand what they were all about. We also managed to get to a Thai boxing fight, the worlds largest Teakwood Mansion formely belonging to the King of Thailand, a snake farm with a couple of tigers in a 6ft by 10ft cage, RSPCA would have a field day here. We went out on the night time into China town amongst the Chinese New Year Celebrations with a couple of guys we'd met which was awesome, there were so many people and stalls that were selling the likes of grasshopper and maggots.
