A trip to Junam Reservoir and bird sanctuary!
The sun was shining all bright and cheery!
I would have loved to tell you the birds were chirping but as you can see from our photos they didn't let us get close enough to find out. Any duck, goose or gander within 100 m took off at the first sign of us. I guess in Korea instead of feeding the ducks, they choose to feed ON the ducks- ha ha ha.... aw.
I enjoyed seeing the men fish in the river, it was so picturesque against the post card back drop of mountains and glittering water.
Our day ended with an hour long wait for the bus as it was Sunday and, though we can now read the bus schedules, without an understanding of the language, we cannot decipher what it says
It was an enjoyable day, the first without jackets! It was so special to see the burial mounds on the hill side. It looked like such a peaceful, natural way of burying; adding to the natural landscape and making themselves forever a part of it.
All in all: another awesome day in Korea with Matt the GPS dude!
Talk to you soon!

aftermath of last night's soju
. The eerie but beautiful chanting of monks on the hillside kept us company during our wait with traditional drum echoing an accompaniment. It was an enjoyable day, the first without jackets!
