So, on the fourth of our 5 days in BA, we decided to take it easy and return back to San Telmo to take a longer look at the markets, and generally just wander around doing not much. We lunched in a pleasant old square, but the markets werenīt really happening in the same way they had been when we went there on Sunday, I guess itīs a weekend thing. We found a walking trail so decided to follow that and see where it lead us. As it happened it lead us to a courtyard for a bottle of wine. Mattīs Spanish was really improving and confidently asked the waiter for an Ice Bucket - but didnīt quite get what he was expecting. However, after using up a few cubes in our drinks it turned out that you could *just about* use it as hoped!

We were trying to save money after the big blow out the previous night on the Tango show so Matt cunningly managed  to start an argument by simply enjoying reading (ignoring everything and anything/one around him) his engrossing book when Kathryn wanted to discuss important life matters!  A couple of hours later and weīd successfully managed to occupy our time without spending a single additional precious peso!

To make up we decided to have a few beers before heading out to a pool place round the corner from our hotel. The pool place doubled up as a canasta club, which made us both feel like we`d managed to infilitrate our way into authentic BA life (it also showed the Chelsea v Everton semi final, and Matt was keen to find out who would play Spurs in the final). Pool with beers was followed by steak and wine dinner, and after that, a  final bottle of wine back in the comfort of our hotel room. Matt could tell he was a bit tipsy by this point as actually was enjoying watching American Idol with Kat!

The following day we both woke up feeling bright and cheery  - NOT

Still, we managed to drag ourselves to a Tango lesson in a grand dance hall. We had a 2 hour lesson, mainly in Spanish. It definitely seems like the girls have the hard bits in the Tango. In one part all Matt had to do was stick his foot out at the correct time so that Kat could weave around it in complicated, and mildly erotic, manoeveres. Kat managed to get her bit right first time, whilst Matt still either cant stick his foot out at the right time, or fails to remove it in time - basically reenforcing Kats view that he is a rubbish dancer :)
