Unfortunately Id got my nights mixed up (my fledgling Spanish wasnt upto the job) and the tango show Id intended us going to (i.e. the cheap one) was actually just a dance night - and given that Kats foot was killing, and neither of us could tango, we thought it best not to investigate that option further. Fortunately BA is full of tango shows, so we ended up at a dinner and tango combo - aimed at the tourist market and priced accordingly - but the show itself was excellent (as was the steak)

I think weve found a resolution to one of the problems we discovered whilst in India. Kat (as I already knew) likes to sleep for a bit longer than I do. So, rather than me bounce around the room in the morning pestering her to get up, Im going to fill my early mornings supping coffees, watching the world go by, reading a book, and hopefully keeping this diary up-to-date.

Just before we left Simon & Becky kindly lent us a couple of books - Ive nearly completed Touching the Void, which is all about escape from certain death on a mountain in Peru. Given that were going through mountains in Peru I dont think Ill let Kat read it after me!

So yesterday, after my solo coffee morning, we headed up to Palermo on the underground. Its a couple of miles north west of the centre and a nice park filled area of the city. We discovered a lido that were going to head back to tomorrow and also an observatory/planetarium, which much to my disappointment, seems to be open only to provide employment to the single member of staff who tells you that everything is closed...

Palermo is also home to a musem about Eva Peron, which was pretty interesting. As the photo of her car shows, and as Kat commented - it was amazing that a midget could achieve so much in such a short life.

Last night, to economise after the tango show blow out, we had a civilised take out of Burger King and Rose wine - which drew some queer looks from the other people in the fast food queue...

Also, Ive just realised that the football shop, with the photo montage of Maradonas goal against England, has closed down - which makes me happy.
