Both me and Sarah didn't warm too much to Hue. We went to the citadel and to the forbidden purple city within the citadel and it was ok - but we had seen nicer temples before and the weather was poor.

We did go on a guided motorbike ride to the DMZ (de-militarized zone) though with Hue freedom riders. This was well worth it, you definitely get a different perspective and see much more from the back of a bike. The american war stuff was also interesting, especially the tunnels at Vinh Moc. We also went to some cool beaches where local fishermen were plying their trade. All in all, a great day.
