Wei-boashan monastery

So, you would think it would be quite romantic taking your girlfriend to a remote monastery in the chinese country side on her birthday. We spent the night in Wei-boashan taoist monastery in one of the temples there. The monastery is high up in the hills over-looking Weishan town and valley. It turned out to be a bit creepy, and a night both of us was glad when it was over.

At least, earlier in the day I took Sarah for a Tai-chi lesson in the temple at the centre of Weishan town as a birthday treat, which both of us enjoyed. Must try harder next year! Weishan old town is not as touristy as Dali, but I still much prefer Dali because of the surrounding Cangshan mountains and general buzz about the place.

The next day - the 28th - we climb up Wei - Boashan mountain. Unfortunately it's misty and we do not see a lot.
