Couldn't have stayed in that last place more than one night!
Luang Prabang is a unesco world heritage site, so there should be plenty to see, although Rene says no more wats or temples.
After breakfast we headed off to climb Mount Phousi, beautiful views up across the town. Phousi is a gigantic rock with sheer forested sides. It is the startting point for the Pi Mai (New Year) celebrations in April.
There are several Buddhas on the hillside along with the Buddha's footprint
We met some more people from Korea, they were very friendly and interested as to where we came from.
After lunch we visited the traditional arts and ethnology centre, a museum dedicated to the various ethnic groups in Laos. It was very interesting. Info on their clothes, courting and wedding ceremonies.
The Mekong river flows across the back of our hotel. We have changed rooms as it was a bit noisy last night with dogs barking.
We are at the back now with a balcony overlooking the river, so should be quieter.
Just having a couple of beers on the balcony now.
