This morning we found out our satellite placements, which is the towns we will live in for the next 10 weeks of PST (pre service training.) It's called a satellite because we are spread out in small villages around Dupnitsa, our 'HUB' site, where we will come every 2 weeks or so for group seminars. But most of our training will be done in our village, where 3 or 4 other PCVs are living with host families too. My town is called Kocherinovo (really difficult to remember) and the other 3 people in my training group and our language trainer are really cool. They call them language trainers instead of teachers. All we know so far is that Kocherinovo has 6200 people and no internet café. Tomorrow morning we'll find out info on the families, then move in with them tomorrow afternoon. I'm really ready... I hope they are just like Pepi, my spanish host mom. Also I hope they have kids or pets.
Tonight is our last night in the hotel, then we will actually get to be out in Bulgaria. So exciting. We had a banquet tonite with professional folk dancers and a singer, I definately suggest checking out the video clips. Most of us also danced the hora, we all learned the easiest kind and danced to some of the singer's songs. Apparently it is a really big deal to be able to do the dance and our host communities will be really excited that we know how.
