I will be leaving NY on the 26th after I drop B-J and May off at the airport. Bubba and I will be in PA until the 11th of Dec so that I can go to the dr's one last time and stuff like that. Then I will head to Cincinnati Ohio for the weekend. Then to Louisville KY for a visit there. After that I will head to St. Louis to start my trip across 66.

The major cities I will be going through are. St. Louis MO, Springfield MO, Tulsa OK, Oklahoma City OK, Clinton OK, Amarillo TX, Tucumcari NM, Albuquerque NM, Gallup NM, Holbrook AZ, Flagstaff AZ, Kingman AZ, Grand Canyon AZ, Needles CA, Barstow CA, San Bernardino CA, Los Angeles CA, Santa Monica CA, and then down to San Diego CA.

That said I would love to stop and see as many people along the way. Since I am going in the winter I am certainly not opposed to comfy warm couch invites for the night. As of now I have no idea when I am going to be anywhere. It depends on how cold it is and how much of the things I want to see are already closed for the winter. The other important part of this trip is to stop and check out good places to eat along the way. Specifically BBQ joints. I want to eat as many different kinds of BBQ as I can on my way. So if you know of a great place to eat on 66 or in any of the above cities please drop me a line. I will also be looking for cheap pet friendly motels and campgrounds.

This is a once in a lifetime trip for me and I have always wanted to do something like this. I am really excited about the trip.
