We were at the sand hills where we toboggan from the summit of one of the larger sand hills. The toboggans were simply pieces of masonite which when waxed on the smooth side, can achieve great speeds on the fine undisturbed sand. It was so much fun. Although I did only once, Marvin did 3 times and didn't want to quit.

Aboriginis still has several areas at Ayers Rock as sacred places so that we can't climb a certain areas. Our guide told us that one area was for women to give births, so it stays as the sacred place... show all
