On this trip I have now encountered two outstanding young men who "get it" are already making a major difference in the world and I fully expect that their impact will become ever more significant in the world.  I am delighted that each of them have asked me to come along side and support them in what they are doing - and I am honored that they feel that who I am congruent with what they are wanting to do and become and that I have something that may help them along their path's.

In Bali I met Md. Mustofa Zaman who is a student at London Metropolitan University, the Chair/Founder of Sharonkhola Development Foundation, Campus Rep of the Clinton Global Initiative and Team Member Muhammad Yunus Forum.  Mostafa I had a chance meeting with walking into the hotel, and after spending some time together he has asked me to become and active participant in the Muhammad Yunus forum - which I am delighted to do.

Yesterday I met Vikash Kumar, Senior Project Specialist of Grameen Koota, who is reporting directly to their Managing Dirctor.  Vikash is 26 and is my guide throughout my three days with Grameen Koota.  Additionally he publishes an on-line newsletter called Microfiance Focus.  Here is his profile: Mr. Vikash Kumar, BA, PGDMN
Managing Editor, Microfinance Focus   Vikash Kumar has a BA in Arts from S. K. University, Dumaka and Post Graduate Diploma in NGO Management from the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), Ahmedabad. At EDI, he specialized in management of microfinance and micro-enterprise development. He is currently developing loan products under individual lending methodology with Grameen Koota. He is associating Dr. G Gandhi to develop "virtual study on Micro insurance". His expertise areas include networking, strategic business planning, developing training materials and development communication. Now, holding the responsibility of Managing Editor of Micro finance focus Magazine.

Through his on-line newletter Vikash has become connected with the leaders of microfinance in India.  He has many creative and major plans for the future.  Vikash has requested that I become a part of his advisory board - alongside some of the great names in microfinance in India - and I am honored and delighted.

The last week before leaving on my trip I met a young man from Argentina, Diego Schemmari at at HUB meeting.  Diego and I met twice with a result being an e-mail that I receive from his saying:

"Hi Marty, I guess you are already In India right now... I wish you the best for the trip Marty. Hope you  find The hart of the people every time. An you do Also the same with Marty. He is such a good person. Thank you . Was realy good for me to talk to you Marty, You help me to open an old road in my hart. I am looking foward to share with you more experiences and hear from you again soon. Namaste.... Diego" Diego also indicated that he was hoping to be in Bangladesh studying microcredit before I return to the  U.S.

All three of these are extraordinary young men - you would want to adopt all three of them.  I look forward to a long and close relationship with each of them.  My life is richer by having them in it.

All this and I am not even one fourth of the way through my trip.  Life is good.

This is all such wonderful stuff, I can't wait for you to get back here and give us a full report - we need to invite people to the library and hold a seminar on it....wouldn't that be great!

Re: What a wealth of opportunities
Hi Aggie & Elza - thanks for the feedback. I return to the US the end of September - seven or so weeks from now. When I get we get out the scale and finish off our bet (that you allegedly had one) :-) Yes this is very energizing, interspersed with some fear now and then.
