Funny sort of day - here we are in a luxurious resort round a lovely natural lake high up in northern Nevada wondering what to do with ourselves.
We sat round the hot tub (which fortunately wasn't too hot) and had a chat with the Indian owner - he is into cricket so we weren't much help. He also told us about the plague of large black beetles that flew in over the mountains last year - it was a true Indiana Jones moment...that lasted 2 days. They even got into the hotel and were like a carpet on the ground. The health authorities said all he could do was turn all the lights off and wait for them to leave.
The area around the hot-tub was in the shade so we were able to read our books with the occasional dip. MJ even got to do 15 mins in the gym
It got too hot so we retired to our room and watched TV for a while then about 2pm took a walk to the local diner with an excellent view over the lake. Two beers and the heat put paid to the rest of the afternoon....
A haircut and more TV followed - and there is a feeling of marching time.....
Read all the news from Siemens sounds like everyone is leaving.....
The lake is very interesting as the clouds came over in the late afternoon the colour altered to a deep gray and the hills are constantly changing colour as they pass over.
