Spent a few hours in Wal-Mart and Sears in Cape Girardeau looking at video camera and ended up buying a digital Sony - so no discs to worry about. Maybe we will be able to send videos.

It has been very overcast and rainy recently as this huge weather system comes over America (west to east). Today was no exception and we drove north on I-55 in a combination of very heavy rain and drissle.

Thanks to the excellent Google maps we obtain good road directions each day and found our hotel immediately which we thought might be not too good as it's $44 per day - but it's as good as any we've had so far. We are here for 3 nights as there is plently to do, so gives us a break from travelling.

However the weather had not improved so we ended up at this huge new shopping Mall and went to a lovely cinema to see Fracture with Antony Hopkins which was excellent - place was empty, seats were very good and it was half what you'd pay in UK.

There are loads of things to do in St Louis - Gateway Arch, museum of westward expansion, Mark Twain's boyhood home and Camp Dubois which was where the 32-man Lewis and Clark team over-wintered 1803/04 leaving on their two year journey on May 13th 1804 up the Missouri. We're also going to visit the confluence of the Mississpi/Missouri which is in NE St Louis.

No photos today as we didn't see anything worthy of note.
