Well this is it... The time for my departure has arrived. Time to put all that planification and expensive equipment to good use. I left Ottawa, admittedly with a few butterflies in my stomach (stress or excitement...?) for a transit through London.

My trip started on a great note were it was fun to meet a very interesting / dynamic person living, what would appear to be, a quite out-of-the-ordinary lifestyle, sitting beside me. We started chatting and time just flew (PUN Intended!) by. It is refreshing to meet people like that since it is so easy nowadays to lose faith in the morals / values of people in today's society. Here's to you Diana...! May we find the time to meet for a drink when I come back to Ottawa so we can recount our respective adventures...!

Once in London, I had but three (3) hours (even shorter considering the recent security measures) to meet up with a good friend (my first girlfriend...!) whom I had kept semi-regular contacts with over the years. We hadn't seen each other in 10 years. She is now married and living / working in London. It was fun rapidly catching up on stuff life is made of. Here's to you KL... CHEERS!

This entry also serves to put a pin on the cool map that you see when entering my travelogue. I think it will eventually link all entry destinations and you will have a better idea of the extent and up-to-date information about my journey.
