Onto Oceans Park! I read a lot of problems with this place on tripadvisor but the alternative was Disneyland and that was never going to happenb. The problems pointed towards how people were visiting during the summerholiday and were dismayed by the queues
. Pesky kids. Well, no shit sherlock. We visited on a friday 3 days after the kids had returned to school and had a great time. Some entertaining shows very well choreographed with the dolphins and sealions and some nice little rollercoasters. It was still a bit busy as the day pushed on but we did everything we wanted in the day and were more than happy. I once again tried to explain my vertigo fears to Kate as being more than rational compared to her spider fear (it's not a fear of heights persay, it's a fear of hitting the ground from those heights), but it's something that I won't ever get over sadly and it just makes something like this uncomfortable at times.
We had a pot noodle dinner while watching a CSI double bill and then off to bed to round off a fun day.
Due to having to stay in two different hotels in Hong Kong on day 2 we left our nice hotel in Tsing Yi and headed towards where I thought the Anne Black was based on Hong Kong Island. It was hot, very hot and I got the wrong island. You would think this would be a difficult mistake to make but please consider there are 260 plus islands, when making judgement of me. I deserve judgement. A very nice concierge at a Best Western pointed us in the right direction and I went quiet as I wasted a good hour of the day and a few pounds in sweat...and more than a little pride. We hadn't got a map due to the lack of internet but I was confident. I should know better. Oh well.
