We took a train ride from "Riobamba" which took seven hours south to Sibambe. Via the famous "Nariz del Diablo", "The Devils Nose" which is a hairy ride down into the valley, thro`several steep switchbacks. Enjoy the pictures!!! We had to be up at 5.30am, to buy our tickets and reserve our place on the roof. We bought our cushions for $1 and hoped it would warm up soon, as it did three hours later. Beautiful views all the way and many local people waving en route, like it was the first time they`d ever seen the train, which goes three times a week. "Gringo`s" amused themselves, by throwing lollipops, to children lining the tracks. Bought from vendors patrolling the roof of the train for this purpose.
We´re now headed north to go climb ridiculous heights once more, so watch this space....
