Arrived in Mui Ne late afternoon. Checked into the cheapest place I could find, it still had a double bed, tv and 2 fans, what more could I need? So I had a quick look at the beach then had some dinner and went to bed.

The next day my plans were simple, just sit on the beach and maybe meet up with my friends, the couple from Hanoi and Hue, for dinner. So I left them a message telling them where I was and asking if they wanted to come out for dinner and went to sit on the beach. The sea was nice not too cold of too hot after a swim I tried to just lie and catch rays but I get bored too easily. I decided to try to dam up a stream that was flowing over the beach near me. That took a while.

Next I walked along the beach to see what more there is to see Kite Surfers

. I stopped in a book shop to see if there were any books for me, I am coming up to the end of mine. Instead of a book I got talking to a nice dutch girl and as it turned out we were walking the same way we went together. She wanted to see the kite surfing for which Mui Ne is famous. It was impressive I have to say, the surfers jump and seem to hover in the air for a little longer than is possible. I dont think I could do it though. We managed to find my friends and all went together for dinner.

The next morning we met again for breakfast. After breakfast we talked about what we should do with the day. I had the stupid idea that we could hire bikes and go to see the sand dunes up the coast, it turned out to be much too far to go by bike. We met some moto drivers and agreed that we should go with them. The first stop was fairy stream, a stream with a sand bed that you can walk up, it is really beautiful there with the cliffs and hills around being made of various colours of sand. The dunes themselves also were great but not my first dunes. We sat and watched the sunset.

The next morning I was ready to leave and after breakfast I organised a bus to Saigon. it was coming at 1 so I just had time to check the internet and then buy some sandwiches to take on the bus.
