We arrived back in La Paz late at night and checked back into our hostel for that one night. We had grand plans to catch the first bus of the day at 6.30 or something like that. Due to laziness the next morning I didn't make it to the bus station until 7.30 to find that the last bus of the morning was just about to leave, that I could get on it but I didn't have my bag or my friends with me so instead I found out when the next bus would be. The next bus was at 3. So we had another day in La Paz, I don't like La Paz!

So when everyone was up I told them the bad news that it was going to be 3 at the earliest and so we walked up to the bus station to buy the tickets. After buying we walked into town to see if we could get some lunch before leaving, unfortunately we ended up back at Olivers* the food wasn't awful it just wasn't impressive.

We got to the bus station at about 5 to 3 to find a nice girl called Alice and a taxi waiting to take us accross town to a diferent, much smaller bus station Lake
Lake
. The bus actually left at about 20 to 4, so much for leaving early. The bus jouney was again impressive especially at the point we reached lake titicaca. The bus parked at the shore line and a member of staff explained to us that we needed to get off the bus a go somewhere. We didn't really understand where. We took a strole along the shore line and back to the bus to find it parking on a barge on the lake. The barge was only just bigger than the bus. We panicked and rushed to jump back onto the bus before it disappeared onto the lake without us! (Unfortunately none of my picture really came out at all but I will add a couple anyway.)

The rest of the journey was fairly dark but it was still possible to tell how big the lake is and how beautiful. We arrived in Copacabana quite late and checked into the first hotel with spaces. More coming soon..

* Olivers is the british pub in La Paz, there seems to be a british pub in every major tourist city in south america. Still people underestimate british food. As far as I am concerned British food is the second best in the world (after Italian). I may be corrected soon though.
