Yungaburra
We drive up further north and head off the coast and more inland to the Atherton Tableslands. An area full of rainforests and waterfalls and just beautiful scenery...if it wasn't for the rain.
Unfortunatley, for the people of northern Queensland and for us it had been raining for months in this area. We got to see some great scenery on the way but it was difficult to stop for long in places because of the rain, we were both a bit dissappointed that we couldn't see more. We then headed to Yungarburra, a lovely town in the tablelands and promptly opted for a night in a hostel. Now, we hadn't been in a hostel since Sydney which is pretty good but the thought of putting up our tent in the rain, helped us make the decision.
It was a lovely hostel, and we had a nice evening with some wine and playing on their digeridoo's.

Yungaburra
Am naechsten Tag gings weiter der Kueste entlang richtung Norden, nach einer kurzen Besichtigung von Mission Beach, gings Inland in das Atherton Hochland. Einem tropischen Hochland voller Regenwaelder und Wasserfaellen. Leider regnete es fast staendig, trotzdem sahen wir ein paar wunderschoene Ausblicke wir konnten jedoch von einigen Regenfaellen nicht viel sehen. Fuer die Nachten stoppten wir in einem kleinen Ort namens Yungaburra und leisteten uns ein Doppelzimmer campen im Regen ist nicht schlimm aber das Zelt aufstellen wenns bereits nass ist, ist furchtbar.
