Up early and out to get the boat for our journey back to Bangkok which was to turn out to be one of our worst. The 4 hour boat trip was ok and after a mad dash to the train we were well on our way to Bangkok. Then on the train I started to feel really ill and thought I was going to faint so I sat there with my head on the table and ice on my neck. It began to get worse and I was certain I was out as I could just hear people around me but wasn't sure what was happening and my body did nothing. Then I felt this guy massaging my neck and putting smelling salts up my nose and on my temples to bring me back round. After a while I came round and began to feel better but it was really very scary for me and Daniel, bless him, who didn't know what on earth was happening. Later, we had a long chat with the guy that helped me, who turned out to be a ex-Thai boxer and who had helped fainting people lots of times before. Then to sleep in the train for the night and we finally arrive in Bangkok.

I won't give you all the details but it turns out that what happened on the train to me was probably the result of a nasty bug that was in my belly. It was also in Daniels and for the next few days we lay in bed, doing very little and trying to get ourselves back to normal. We managed to!
