Daniel and I had now been away for a quite a while and although we had been drinking beers etc we hadn't really had a proper night out, with dancing included (although daniel doesn't mind that). Ko Phangnan is known for being the host to the Full Moon party and although we would miss the next party we though why not go to that place where it happens and have a night out.
Haad Rin is the beach where it all happens so we headed there and found and ok bungalow right up on a mountain overlooking the beach. We figured it would be quiter up there, as we would need to sleep at some point - of course we were wrong and the music from the nearby bar pounded in, but we survived it.
So we started with some barcardi and cokes on the balcony and then went into town for some more beers and a bucket! Bucket of what you might wonder - well a night on the beach there a streams of people selling buckets which you can fill with vodka/redbull or barcardi/coke or whiskey/coke etc. Then you take your bucket with 2 straws for us and sit on the beach watching the fire dancers and taking it all in. We ended up having a really great night with a little bit of dancing in it too.
11th JAN
Not too much to say today as we spent much of the day feeling the pain from the night before. We did squeeze in a Thai Massage though which is really difficult to describe here. Just imagine being squashed and pulled a lot but feeling lovely and like a jelly after. Is was a pretty funny experience to as I watched Daniel out of the corner of my eye having his leg pulled over his head by a girl half the size of him - of course he enjoyed it!!
