Equipment has been purchased, reservations made, and Obama won!! Guess I'm ready to hit the road.

First stop is Mexico City (a city of more than 20 million people!) and then the Yucatan, where James and I will practice our Spanish, eat scrumptious food, ramble over ancient ruins, and bronze on Caribbean beaches.

This entry is just a test run for the blog. I'll try to update every week once I have some actual travel under my belt. Leave comments or send an email to keep in touch!

Just some last minute advice for your travels from you know who: 1)Don't talk to strangers. 2) Be especially wary of anybody friendly. 3)Don't give any information to reps of foreign governments. 4)If anybody asks, remember--you never heard of George Bush.
