We left Seaside today and drove South on 101.  Our first stop was the Tillamook Cheese Factory!

Such a fun place.  We watched them package cheese through yellow tinted windows, so no, that's not a bad photo. The photo of the truck shows that they pull into a "station" and pump the milk directly into the factory.  We thought that was pretty cool.  We didn't realize Tillamook made so many products - Lance was happy because we got cheese AND ice cream. For those that know me, and know I don't really like ice cream, I found the perfect size cone :)

When we were leaving we hopped in the "Loaf Love Tour" bus for a quick photo.  These little busses tour around the country teaching about the cheese making process and giving away free mini-loafs of cheese - but no tour for us so we had to pay for ours!

We drove a bit further to Lincoln City - our next stop for a few days.  When we arrived the RV park said they didn't expect us tonight, so they 'fit' us into a great site with a bit of an ocean view.  And because they mixed up the reservation and had to fit us in, they comped the night for us.  From our sight we can only see the ocean over the top of a few houses and cannot actually see the beach so this evening we walked down to the ocean and guess what ... we actually saw our first Oregon sunset. Although cold and a bit windy on the beach, it was really nice to get out, let Roxie sniff around and watch the ocean waves and the colorful sunset.

We are here for three nights so will be making side trips each day.  Tomorrow is Newport and Wald Port.  We don't know anything about either of them so it will be a surprise for all of us :)
