I hear that the weather at home is not the best. Some of you may even be wishing that you were out in the tropics where i am getting good weather. Well if you are under that impression allow me to tell you about my day. Woke up this morning to bright sunshine and extreme heat outside. So all was dandy. We walked up to church (Another lovely service by the way. There was a lunch afterwards but it was sri lankan food which is dangerous for our health so we had to pass unfortunatly) and down to get something to eat in shorts and shirt! Half way through the meal the wind picks up. All ok. Then walking back it begins to spit abit. thats ok ithought. I left Caroline in Food City to get some provisions, telling her i was off to the market to get some fresh fruit- namely pinapple- and would make my own way back. Got to the market and found that it had packed up and gone home. Obviously knew something i didn't cause at that very moment, the heavens opened. I have never seen rain like it. I bolted for the bus shelter and stood there for a few moments, damp but ok. The rain seemed to die a bit so i ran up the street. Didn't really know what i was thinking cause the house was still a good 2 kilometers away Then the heavens opened again. Only 5 times worse than what it had been. I was in it for aproximatly 10 seconds before I commando rolled into a dry area under a house, but ended up soaking wet. Wetter than i have ever been before. I made a sorry sight when our friendly 3 wheel driver pulled up and said do you want a lift home.. to which I gleefully said yes take me home! So i arrived at home soaked sans pineapple. Not amused. So anyone who thinks the weather is bad at home... feel free to experience it here!!! I think it might be Karma getting me back for gloating about the good weather.
